Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Lawyers

Employment conflicts can often be resolved before proceeding to litigation. Mediation is one form of alternative dispute resolution that can achieve this end.

Mediation is a facilitated negotiating process in which the parties involved in a dispute meet with a neutral third party, a mediator, in an effort to resolve the matter:

  • The mediator works with both parties to learn whether there is a resolution that is mutually acceptable to both sides.
  • If a resolution is reached as a result of the mediation, the parties sign an enforceable settlement agreement.
  • A satisfactory result from mediation can be extremely desirable, because it avoids the financial and emotional impact of becoming involved in litigation.

Kalijarvi, Chuzi & Newman has been providing clients with knowledgeable representation throughout the mediation process since the firm's inception in 1974. Please call us to schedule a meeting to discuss your concerns. If you are out-of-town, we can schedule a telephone conference.
