AFGE Local 1145 and USP Atlanta, FMCS Nos. 13-55884; 13-59022 2013 Late Overtime and Differentials Grievances

Kalijarvi, Chuzi, Newman & Fitch is happy to announce the recovery of $1,000,000 in AFGE Local 1145's grievance against USP Atlanta for failing to timely and/or correctly compensate bargaining unit employees by paying overtime late to Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA") non-exempt employees, and failing to pay shift differentials correctly, such as night differential, Sunday Premium Pay and holiday pay. We are honored to have recovered damages on behalf of Local 1145's hardworking bargaining unit employees. The Grievances cover affected bargaining unit employees who worked at USP Atlanta during the period March 3, 2013 through August 4, 2013.

The Union will be distributing money to qualified, affected bargaining unit

employees who complete the Union's forms. You must submit the required electronic forms to be eligible to receive a portion of the monetary recovery obtained by the Union.

The forms must be submitted by THURSDAY, AUGUST 23, 2018. If you do not submit the electronic form by this deadline, you will NOT be eligible to receive a portion of any of the monetary remedy the Union obtained.
